In recent times, LGBTQ+ expression and identities have been threatened and censored with legislation that feels like it’s moving backwards around the world. In these moments when our safety and rights are at risk, it's even more important to step into the truest version of ourselves. Now more than ever, we need safe places on and offline for the LGBTQ+ community to freely express ourselves. We’ve set up a Pride month fund in Bright Funds benefiting organizations from around the world that provide advocacy for LGBTQ+ issues. Pinterest will match your donations 3:1 for the month of June, so please consider supporting these important causes from the US, Canada, Australia, Germany and Mexico.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, when we celebrate how Asian and Pacific Islander communities enrich the tapestry of the US. The Mars theme for this month is Ascend Together, and our ARG has chosen to support five highly-rated Asian American non-profit organizations focused on civil rights, legal representation, education and health. Donations to this fund will be evenly distributed to the nonprofits listed here, to support and uplift the AAPI community.

Delphix is raising money for the UNICEF effort in Turkey and Syria. Money raised will go directly to support the 850,000 children effected by the recent Earthquake Our combined team will take on the collective virtual journey by walking, running, riding and swimming the 1552 miles from Instanbul to London. The challenge will take place over 5 days. Starting on the June 9th and culminating on June 15th as the team arrives at the Data Company Summit event in London.

Over 70 years ago, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) was founded by a family that lost its son to leukemia—a disease that was considered fatal at the time. Since its founding, LLS has evolved into the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to fighting blood cancers, pioneering many of today’s most innovative cancer treatments and therapies. Despite our tremendous progress, one simple fact remains: nearly 50,000 individuals lose their battle against cancer every year in the U.S. alone, and, unfortunately, some of those individuals are children. I am participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Visionaries of the Year (VOY) program. VOY is a ten-week philanthropic competition for leaders in New Jersey seeking to make an impact in the fight against cancer. I decided to enter the competition because I’ve personally saw people who lost their life to cancer. As health care costs in the country rise, I felt that partnering with LLS and participating in this campaign will allow me to help provide support to families impacted by cancer.

A curation of funds that champion and celebrate Asian and Pacific Islander advancement, creativity, and belonging

For the purchase of 2 specially-developed Arcana instruments - for inclusion of children and adults with various disabilities through music. The creator of the instrument aimed precisely at the development of such a product, which would meet the possibilities of people with specific needs to make music, play, and have fun. We would like to implement the 2 Arcana instruments in our day care and therapy centers (one in Sofia and one in Ruse), where we work with over 150 children and youth with disabilities and mental sufferings (including autism and autistic spectrum). Our main goal is to upgrade our work by giving them new opportunities for expression, creativity, to develop their potential, and at the same time to be used for therapeutic work - calming, concentration, crisis management. The instrument is easy to use, designed for inclusion, adaptable and versatile, easy to teach, easy to learn and play, suitable for all ages, skills, and abilities. The main customers include - Daycare centers, Rehabilitation centers, occupational therapists, special-needs schools, elderly homes hospitals, etc. Through your support, we can be one of the first organizations that will implement in their work this specialized Arcana instrument for making music by children and young people with disabilities and mental sufferings in Bulgaria. Financial goal: 4000 USD (2000 USD per each instrument) About us: Child and Space Association is an organization with 19-year history. We currently manage 9 social services for children and elders with disabilities and mental sufferings in two municipalities - Sofia and Ruse. In 2022, we supported 217 children and young people with disabilities/mental sufferings and their parents/caregivers: 24 hours care of 35 children and young people abandoned from their parents in 4 small group homes, within our three Day care centers we provided day care and specialized therapeutic support to 97 children and young people with disabilities/mental sufferings, and in the centers for social rehabilitation and integration we supported 91 children and their parents. The main activities of the Association aim to provide support and hope to children at risk and to children and youth with specific needs and their families. We strive to improve living conditions and relationships in society so that every child can realize his rights. Through complex services and an individual approach, we create for these children and young people a space for creativity and expression, for their families - an environment for support, sharing and growth, and for specialists who work with children - opportunities for exchanging experience, for cooperation and building of professional capacity.

There are many misconceptions and myths around Cinco de Mayo and its significance in Mexican Culture and History. In the US, it has historically been seen as a day of celebration commonly mistaken for Mexico’s Independence Day. But south of the border, the holiday merits very little as the actual 1862 event is a reminder of a tough outgunned invasion of Puebla by the French army. While it was a battle won it was a war that was lost. In an effort to help shed light about this date we will be using this day not to celebrate but instead to raise awareness and funding about Mexican Heritage and help bring equity and change to those that identify as such and are in need of Legal and Educational resources.
