United Way of Greater St. Louis: 100 Neediest Cases Fund
United Way of Greater St. Louis sees how a little extra help and support can help those in the Greater St. Louis region live their best possible lives. Every year, thousands of families and individuals in the St. Louis region need help with basic needs. There is so much pressure surrounding the holidays, and for some families, it’s near to impossible to meet their basic needs met — let alone have resources for gifts for their children. Through 100 Neediest Cases, a partnership with United Way of Greater St. Louis and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, we can help support individuals and families in the Greater St. Louis region with the necessities they need to have a brighter holiday season. The holidays should be about hope, about bringing happiness to our family, friends, coworkers and neighbors. Through 100 Neediest Cases, we can give hope. WHY IT MATTERS When you give through 100 Neediest Cases, you help families and individuals relieve stress by giving gifts that so many of us take for granted: rent, utilities, car repairs, a holiday gift, new shoes, gifts for children or buying the warm coat they need. You can be confident your gift is making an impact because all individuals or families helped through the program must have Income 125% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines and two documented unmet needs. WHO WE HELP Together, we can help the more than 4,300 community members in our region this holiday season. You can help families, like M’s. M is 10 years old and lives with her grandmother and an aunt, who has a developmental disability and requires around-the-clock care. The family is paying off a large car repair bill and their home is in disrepair. This holiday season, the family could use financial help to pay the bills. Whether you give $5, $20 or $500, your gift today helps provide a warm holiday meal for a homebound senior, presents under the tree for a single mom and her children, and the basic needs for so many in our community. Make your gift and make somebody’s holiday season. Your gift means more than you think. Support United Way of Greater St. Louis’ 100 Neediest Cases fund.

Impact Guru - Cancer Funds
This project aims at providing financial help to patients in India, suffering from Cancer, Impact Guru identifies these patients who need financial support for their Hospital Expenses, and supports them through crowdfunding and raising grants. Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body. Cancer can start almost anywhere in the human body, which is made up of trillions of cells. Normally, human cells grow and multiply (through a process called cell division) to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old or become damaged, they die, and new cells take their place. Sometimes this orderly process breaks down, and abnormal or damaged cells grow and multiply when they shouldn’t. The estimated number of incident cases of cancer in India for the year 2022 was found to be 14,61,427 (crude rate:100.4 per 100,000). In India, one in nine people is likely to develop cancer in his/her lifetime. Lung and breast cancers were the leading sites of cancer in males and females, respectively. Among the childhood (0-14 yr) cancers, lymphoid leukemia (boys: 29.2% and girls: 24.2%) was the leading site. The incidence of cancer cases is estimated to increase by 12.8 percent in 2025 as compared to 2020. Globally, cancer is the leading cause of death, accounting for 10 million, or one in six, deaths in 2020, according to WHO.
