More Americans died of gun-related injuries in 2020 than in any other year on record, according to recently published statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That included a record number of gun murders, as well as a near-record number of gun suicides. Despite the increase in such fatalities, the rate of gun deaths – a statistic that accounts for the nation’s growing population – remains below the levels of earlier years.This fund was created to use a public health and equity lens to identify and implement evidence-based policy solutions and programs to reduce gun violence in all its forms. We seek to make gun violence rare and abnormal.We achieve this by engaging in policy development, advocacy, community and stakeholder engagement, and technical assistance. A More Balanced World focuses on assisting disadvantaged youth with their financial needs to get a college education. Having a college degree gives these bright students a better chance to support themselves, their families, and their communities. The hijab law has been enforced by the country’s “morality police” for over four decades, ever since the Islamic revolution, according to Euronews — and many people across Iran think it’s time for the law to be abolished, especially after Amini’s death. A 22-year-old woman, Masha Amini, was killed by morality police in Iran. In mid-September 2022, a 22-year-old Iranian-Kurdish woman named Masha Amini was arrested by the morality police — because she was not wearing a hijab — while visiting Iran’s capital Tehran with her family, as reported by The New York Times. The morality police detailed Amini, and while in their custody, authorities confirmed that she died, attributing her sudden death to a heart attack. However, CT scans of Amini’s body proved that she experienced a brain hemorrhage; additionally, eyewitness accounts, as well as footage and images of Amini after she was arrested, have led many to speculate that Iran’s morality police physically beat her while she was detained, causing her to die. We have created this fund to fight the “relentless battle against the Iranian regime’s misogyny,” and advocate the right for women to choose what they wear — essentially protesting the hijab laws. Small teams of veterans into conflict zones to provide emergency medical services, refugee protection, and humanitarian relief for persecuted communities. They protect refugees and communities under direct threat by conducting extractions, providing security escorts, and working to find creative solutions to protect the innocent. Their teams serve local families by providing frontline emergency medical care and training, while also delivering situation-specific humanitarian relief. Over time, They organize and train teams of locals to provide medical care and conduct their own humanitarian relief operations with minimal outside help. We call this “Charity With Dignity.”

This is the season when we are going to reunite with our families and loved ones. These are special dates on which we must give thanks for what we have and share with those who have less. In support of that, we have created a “HOLIDAY GIVEBACK” campaign.  With your help, we will support 4 causes around the world, and you will get the chance to choose between one or more options: - Collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children. - Give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm around the world. - Provide integrated after-school support to poor children, youth, and adults in Costa Rica. - Enhance the quality of life for older adults and other community members who are homebound and unable to provide sufficient nutrition for themselves through daily meal delivery in Durham and Wake County, NC. By donating, you will be helping those most in need to have a happy holiday.

2023 CAAN Lunar New Year - Giving Back - RCDN Chapter

Education as a weapon to break through the cycle of poverty, creating opportunities for income, growth and sustainable development. Without quality education, the underprivileged are unable to unlock their full potential and end up begging on the streets. Corona virus has affected all the people worldwide but in Africa/Uganda it has almost taken away every hope of vulnerable and orphan kids going back to school. By supporting this cause “Khule Charity Foundation” will cover the annual school fees, books, meals and school uniforms for 200 orphans in Kampala, Uganda.

Project Transitions is dedicated to serving people with HIV by providing housing, comprehensive support services, recuperative care and hospice in compassionate and caring environments.

It is time for our annual charity gift drive with Bridges Homeward formerly known as Cambridge Family and Children’s Service (“CFCS”)! We’ll be helping Bridges Homeward obtain holiday gifts for people with developmental disabilities and their families. Our help in previous years has been greatly appreciated. It’s a wonderful opportunity to express the pure act of giving!

This fund donates to underprivileged students of The NingXia LiuPanShan High School (宁夏六盘山高中) and helps them thrive in their education. All funds will go through the Ningxia Charity Promotion Association, a non-profit that is vetted by Bright Funds, and then distribute to the school. The Ningxia LiuPanShan High School is dedicated to providing equal education opportunity for students from Xihaigu, which is the most under-developed region of Ningxia. Thank you for visiting my virtual holiday toy drive! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is changing the way they accept toys and gifts for children and families spending the holidays in the hospital. Help me make the holidays special for these children through a tax-deductible donation in support of the Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy team at CHOP. This special team provides care and support year-round to children and families in the hospital. With thousands of children visiting CHOP every year, the Child Life team has an ongoing need for toys, craft supplies, books, video games and movies. In the absence of an in-person toy drive this year, the Child Life Department depends on monetary donations to provide holiday gifts to the many children spending the season in the hospital.
