North America, Can you Step Up to the Challenge? Fund
The Challenge You may have seen in May when RAF Financial Analysts Roland Camacho and Dylan Johnston out of the Edmond, Oklahoma office led a virtual helping hands event for the West Territory. Well, they’re doing it again and challenging all of North America to join in on the challenge. We will be walking the week of September 14th and your daily steps Monday through Friday that week will count towards an individual and team competition. The Goals We want to feel connected while we are still apart, we want to raise money for a good cause and we are encouraging everyone to stay active. The Charity We will be raising money for Feeding America and the American Red Cross, in light of all the recent natural disasters. If you are joining the challenge from outside of U.S., and would like to add additional charities to support North America, please let us know. Our recommendation is that each person donates a penny per step on their daily average – that means that if you walk the recommended 10,000 steps daily, we’d ask you donate $100 to the fund with a maximum recommendation of $100, so don’t worry if you blow past 10,000 steps. Also, if you’d like to join the step challenge but aren’t ready to donate, that is fine as well. Tracking Progress There are many ways to track your daily steps via the Health app on your Smartphone, Smartwatch or download the StepUp Pedometer from your app store. In order to track your steps for the challenge, we ask that you can email or text your daily steps to Carollann Romo. (Carollann.romo@raboag.com, 661-904-7558) We will have updates for the team challenges throughout the week. Currently the teams are broke out to Wholesale, DLL, Pacific Territory RAF/RDS, West Territory RAF/RDS, East Territory RAF/RDS, Central Territory RAF/RDS, Vendor Finance and RDS. You can choose your team or let us know if we missed a group. As you’re walking, please take a picture too and we’ll use them to put together a recap video. The Competition Each of the top three individuals with the most steps will receive $100 in their Bright Funds account to donate to a charity of their choice, this is thanks to the Health and Wellness Committee. We will also be tracking the team winners. There are two team winners, one will be based on the total number of steps and another will be on the average steps per person.

THIS FUND IS CLOSED. For the current step challenge use this link: https://rabobank.brightfunds.org/funds/north-america-can-you-step-up-to-the-challenge Hey West Territory and friends – It’s time to get up and move for a step challenge for a great cause. Dylan Johnston and Roland Camacho from the Mid Plains region are challenging you and your region to commit to donating money toward Feeding America based on your average daily steps next week! Steps: Let’s see which region and person gets the most steps! Total steps for the five days will be counted for regions and individuals. Watch this video to hear about the challenge! https://youtu.be/euh3gMx-Pkw Donation: Will you commit to donating a penny for each step you take*? We’d like to challenge you to do just that for your average daily steps April 27 through May 1st. (*We’re only asking you to donate how much you feel comfortable with a maximum commitment request of $100 based on the goal to meet a daily average of 10,000 steps) How it will work: • Each day send your total steps to Carollann.Romo@raboag.com or text to 661-904-7558. You can use your built-in step tracker on your phone, a smartwatch, or there’s a free app called StepUp that gives a nice summary of your daily steps. You can send them the morning after you get all your daily steps or you can wait and send the full week by 5pm Pacific Time on Monday May 4th. • At any point between now and the end of Friday, May 1st, please donate to Feeding America via this Bright Funds link to get Rabo matching*: https://rabobank.brightfunds.org/funds/west-territory-step-challenge (*Rabo matches up to $500 per person per year) • We’d also like to see you on your walk, so send a video or photo to Carollann Romo 661-904-7558 for a wrap up video for the intranet and social media. Tell us why you’re walking, show us where you’re walking or challenge another region. Be sure to hold your phone horizontal while shooting video. Who can join: Anyone that sits or works in or with the West Territory! Just choose a region for your steps to count towards if you don’t belong to one specific one. When: This starts Monday April 27 and ends Friday May 1st. Deadline to submit your steps is Monday May 4th at 5pm Pacific time. We hope this is a fun way to stay connected, stay active, give back to our communities and feed our competitive spirits! Our goal is to donate $3,000 to Feeding America as a territory. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Dylan.Johnston@raboag.com, Roland.Camacho@raboag.com or Carollann.Romo@raboag.com . Thank you all and let’s get walking!!

Pass the Plate Challenge Fund
It’s happening in every single community in the country. Thousands of people have lost their jobs due to the pandemic, and for those people already living paycheck to paycheck, they now have to make the choice between food, bills or medicine. The people affected might be your co-workers, family, friends, and neighbors. But people in our communities like the elderly, the disabled and children are also affected as are the people that serve our communities. Covid19 doesn’t discriminate when it comes to who gets infected, but it also doesn’t discriminate as far as who gets affected economically even if they don’t contract the virus. We’re thankful our paychecks haven’t stopped. We’re thankful we still have a job. And we want to make sure our communities don’t go hungry. The Feeding America network is the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States including in times of disasters and national emergencies. All eligible donations made by VMware employees to this fund will be matched. Whether it’s a dollar, 5 dollars, 100, or a 1,000, please donate. Every bit helps, and a monetary donation or online fundraiser is one of the most efficient and effective ways to support your local food bank in a crisis situation. But don’t let it stop with you. Pass the plate and challenge your colleagues, family and friends to also join in donating by tagging them and challenging them and even having them record a video of themselves passing the plate. The most vulnerable people in our communities need us now more than ever, so let’s be EPIC, and do what we can to help. It’s your turn now! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvN14uM_6Kw&feature=youtu.be

2023 Rabo AgriFinance Summer Food Drive Fund
On behalf of the 2023 rural interns, we are excited to announce the details for the 2023 food drive! Click below to watch a video with all of the details. How to donate: We are collecting non-perishable food items in our offices or you can make a monetary donation directly via Bright Funds. A fund has been created in Bright Funds for Feeding America, or you can donate to a local food pantry of your choice. If you aren’t near an office, but would still like to participate, items can be taken to a local food pantry. After donations have been made, send a photo of the items or the monetary donation receipt to your selected territory’s intern listed below. How scoring works: • 1 point = $1 (or one item) • Gift matching contributions via Bright Funds will not count toward the total, but employees with gift matching left for 2023 are encouraged to match their donation • If you are not officially assigned to a territory, you can select whichever one you’d like to support in the competition • Regardless of how you donate, send an email that includes the number of items or dollar amount you donated to the intern for the territory you wish to contribute to. Pictures are encouraged when possible. Make sure your email includes the amount donated, organization you donated to and which territory team you’re on. When to donate: You have until noon CT Friday, July 28 for it to count for the competition. Who to contact: Central – Weston Guetterman East – Ryan Winkler Pacific – Kimberly Ponce West – Halle Schindler We are excited to be giving and volunteering in our communities and can’t wait to see who is crowned as the winning territory. Thank you to all that participate this year! Sincerely, The 2023 Interns
