A Fundraising Race Running a heart through Germany because societal needs are many and varied. No matter if children, elderly people or people in an area of crisis, there are many hot spots that need our attention. My intention is to influence something greater than myself, do a good thing, and support some organizations and people who are helping children, seniors, needy people in an area of crisis, institutes for cancer research, and more. All this in addition to a sportive challenge which will be worth the hurt. I wanted to have this fundraising race as a new life experience and I have to say, it has worked out already. The plan was to do it in May 2020 but due to COVID-19 I have to postpone it to May 2021. Now I’ll make the project even bigger! I’ll donate 0,10€ per kilometer I train till May 2021! During my Heart Run thru Germany I’ll donate 1€ per kilometer I run and hope that some others do almost the same!

Our Mission at Noble is to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families. Noble does not charge families for their services, as they get reimbursed through Medicaid. However, it’s not enough to cover the cost of providing quality services. In the summer of 2020, I was delivering our homegrown plants by cart. I first thought of creating a website to assist me after experiencing the hassle of tracking orders and pricing. About: Hunger is on the rise in America, compounded by the prolonged pandemic which caused extensive job losses in America. With the number of cases growing rapidly across the world, the fight against COVID-19 has to continue. The impact of this virus is profound in developing countries like India, where education took a dive because of the major digital divide. 320 million students face a lack of learning because of the school closures and not having basic internet, which is taken for granted in developed countries. I’ve decided to fight for both of these causes and started this fundraiser with the purpose to collect donations for the American Red Cross and Janyaa in India. The funds will be equally split between these foundations. The American Red Cross has adjusted their resources to provide necessities for quarantine shelters and food distribution centers. Janyaa has been helping 500,000 students across more than 900 schools over the past 11 years by building curriculum-based science & math material to help 6th - 10th grade children. To continue these efforts during this pandemic, they are organizing interactive online sessions with nearly 5000 students and working with them closely over the next few months until schools reopen their gates. Gary Dingman had been at Cisco for 17 years before loosing his valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. Gary had asked that instead of flowers to donate to cancer research, so in his honor we are collecting donations for The Center for Gastrointestinal Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where Gary was being treated.

It's time to kick off an Intuitive Foundation Fund focused on hernia for Hernia Awareness Month. We found an excellent organization that focuses on supporting hernia repair for underserved regions, and we are pleased to highlight the non-profit HERNIA HELP: HERNIA REPAIR FOR THE UNDERSERVED this month. While hernias affect men more than women (twenty-five percent of men will suffer a hernia in their lifetime, compared to only about 2% of women), hernias affect people regardless of country, socioeconomic status, and ethnicity.

Record breaking heavy rain hit the prefectures of Kumamoto and Kagoshima in the southern Japanese island of Kyushu on 4 July 2020 and caused flooding and landslides. As of 9 July 2020, over 60 people are confirmed dead and approximately a dozen are reported missing. A number of communities were cut off due to severed roads, among other damage. Approximately 4,700 buildings have been destroyed, damaged or flooded.

Access UK was established in 2013, following the London riots of 2011, our remit was and still is to address systemic inequalities within the British labour market and provide culturally competent IAG ( Information, Advice & Guidance) solutions for marginalised and disadvantaged BAME ( Black & Ethnic Minority Ethnic) beneficiaries. Access UK's careers and employability programmes are designed to address structural inequalities by offering practical and community-based services, that are tailored to our beneficiaries. The emergence of Covid-19 and it's disproportionate impact on BAME communities, coupled with the police killing of George Floyd in America, has placed a spotlight back onto the issue of inequality and global systemic disparities. Access UK is one of a select group of charities/social enterprises that directly addresses these institutional challenges at their root. We are pioneers of the public health approach which aims to deliver holistic community-based services, by tackling problems at the earliest possible opportunity and working with over 20 partners and a wide range of practitioners with complementary specialisms that supports our work.

On the first of July, I reached my 12-year milestone with VMware. Looking back I think one of my most memorable experiences was my trip to Vietnam to help setup computer classrooms for various orphanages. (More of the backstory to be found here: http://www.yellow-bricks.com/?s=vietnam) When reaching the 12-year milestone each VMware employee gets an amount to donate to a charity of choice. I decided to donate to Kidspire Vietnam as I know there are various classrooms that are up for a hardware refresh. With my milestone donation and a personal donation, I have been able to provide sufficient funds to enable Kidspire Vietnam to refresh a single full classroom (15 Chromebooks). ** UPDATE: we have collected sufficient funds to allow Kidspire to refresh 2 classrooms, when combined with my grant and personal donation that means 3 full classrooms can be refreshed, a total of 45 new Chromebooks!! ** With this fundraiser, I am hoping to enable Kidspire Vietnam to refresh at least one more additional classroom. The cost of a refresh is between 3500 USD and 4000 USD. Hopefully, we will be able to reach this goal. The Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust has approved the 3 time meals projects to benefit Poor and underprivileged people across the country. Under this project 3 time meals will be given for next 3 months against the current situation, this meal will be given absolutely free of cost, along with ensuring the amount of protein.

SOMETIMES people in need of help are not the most obvious. We didn't expect a pandemic. We couldn't have predicted the impact it would have on our community and we never imagined our children's education and future would suddenly be in jeopardy. Ecole Bilingue, a immersion school focused in diversity and global citizenship awareness, has not been the exception. In order to ensure that the students, EB's faculty, staff, grandparents, alumni parents, alumni, and grandparents, created a SOLIDARITY FUND that along with the Annual Fund, helps with emergency tuition funds for families who have been financially impacted by the pandemic. Thanks to this, all students will continue benefiting from the value of an EB education. June is Pride Month – dedicated to recognizing the LGBTQ+ community and its contributions to the world and raising awareness for the need to continue the fight for equal rights and recognition. The first Pride parades and festivals in the US which were organized in 1970 to commemorate the Stonewall Riots in June of 1969 when the LGBTQ+ community rose up in protest of a violent police raid of the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village. It's been a tough year so far. And it has also brought us together even more. In my pursuit to test my limits, I'll be attempting three 200 miles footraces across the country in August, September and October. While it's hard to predict outcomes for such races, know it that i'll give my best and a little more.
