Fundraising for our furry friends!

From the year 1831 until the last school closed its doors in 1996, about 150,000 Frist Nation, Inuit and Metis children were removed from their families and communities and forced to attend residential schools. These schools were funded by the Canadian government and at first were administered by the Christian churches. The purpose of these schools was to educate and convert Indigenous youth. This translated into taking their names, identities, language and culture away from them in order to eliminate all aspects of Indigenous culture. The conditions in these schools were so poor that many of these children were abused, malnourished and died alone and away from their families. To this day, we are not certain how many children (some as young as 3 years of age) died in the residential schools as the accurate records were not kept. With the discovery of 215 children in a mass grave at one of these residential schools in Kamloops BC, this part of Canadian story has been brought forward once again. We would encourage everyone to educate themselves about this recent part of our history and extend our support to the many families that are dealing with the impact of attending residential schools today. The charities that are a part of this fund provide such support. Donations made through this fund will be matched 100% (50% by the Campbell Soup Foundation and 50% by Campbell Canada up to a max of $10K)

It is in these difficult times that we must embody our Conscious Culture (self-awareness, understanding of others, always looking at and understanding the impact we have on others (our team, our customers, the larger community), and acting intentionally to create the best possible experience) and help those who need support. June is Pride Month in the US! While there has been significant progress toward equality for the LGBTQIA+ community in recent years, a long road to equality remains ahead, as the collective community continues to face various forms of exclusion and discrimination. As a way to be more inclusive we want to kick off pride now and continue to celebrate as these month long celebrations happen all over the world. Please join us as we proudly come together all over the globe to campaign and celebrate our identities and experiences over the next several months. The nonprofits on this page are working to eliminate discrimination, advocate for equality, provide access to health care and social support, and protect basic rights for the LGBTQIA+ community. We have included a variety of nonprofits across our locations to drive as much global participation and awareness possible.

World Oceans Day was established in 2008 by the United Nations to promote public interest in the protection of the ocean and the sustainable management of its resources. Oceans are a major source of food and medicines, and are a critical part of the biosphere. This year’s theme is “The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods,” focusing on the celebration and support of the life and ecosystems that the ocean sustains. In the summer of 1969, police raided a gay bar in New York City; the riots that ensued were a major turning point for the fight for gay rights in the United States. Since June 1970, LGBTQ+ folks, along with activists, advocates, and allies have continued to gather together in June to march with Pride. While there are still many obstacles the LGBTQ+ community faces, significant progress has been made over the past few decades. The 2023 Pride Fund supports organizations that promote the safety and advance the wellbeing of the LGBTQ+ community through advocacy, direct services, health accessibility, education, legal representation, and public policy changes. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives working to ensure acceptance, equity, and justice for all.

Direction Digital is a project that enables the continuing development of public -school teachers in educational digital technologies and the acquisition of equipment that can be utilized by students, in their homes, during COVID-19 and at school, after COVID-19, as well as food and school supplies for the most vulnerable students. Every $200 raised in this fund will be converted to a tailored DD Kit, deployed to families with kids from 04 to 14 years old and in partnership with APUSA NGO and its community those kits will impact in 2-3 kids access to education. Digital Inclusion is possible to the ones who need it most with collective effort. This fund goal is to enable 60 new kids per academic semester to have access to digital education.

Given the rise in violence and discriminatory laws against the Transgender community, this fund has been established to collect and disseminate funds to organizations around the globe that are supporting the community locally.

In the past two weeks, we’ve seen a tremendous rise in anti-Semitism around the world. There have been numerous incidents of violence in NYC, California, London, and globally. Even within our own employee community, we’ve received reports of vandalism and hate speech inflicting fear and terror upon us and our loved ones. We cannot allow this kind of hate to continue, and must act to support this community, as Braze often stands with many other communities that experience hatred and discrimination. The Jews @ Braze ERG (#jab-erg) has been active for numerous years in support of Jewish life around the world. This violence against Jews cannot go unseen. No one should be targeted for their religious beliefs or cultural identity, or should be uncomfortable leaving their homes or loved ones. Please join us in supporting these causes to combat hate against Jews around the globe.

ChildFund – Green umbrella provide financial, physical, and emotional support for children with mental and physical damage, they work actively to make the world a happier place for children. They advocate the Rights of the Child (survival, protection, development, and participation), help the children in Korea can grow up in a healthy and safe environment.

Life is more than just receiving, Make a difference TODAY! Hands On Tokyo provides meaningful bilingual volunteer opportunities to foster volunteerism and develop leaders to serve the needs of our community. During this COVID-19 pandemic, they are focusing on “what can we do now to support our community,” and working with various community groups, to deliver masks, handmade PPE gowns and “Thank You Baskets.” Each of these includes a handwritten thank you message and various sweets. These are delivered to our partner hospitals, local hospitals, welfare facilities, etc.

Life is more than just receiving, Make a difference TODAY! Karunashraya, is a joint project of the Indian Cancer Society (Karnataka Chapter) and Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar, for providing free palliative care to advanced-stage cancer patients who are beyond cure.

Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) is a social service agency with a mission to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families and children impacted by cancer through enhancing their emotional, social and medical well-being.

Georgia House Rabbit Society (GHRS) was alerted to a hoarding situation in Dekalb County in May 2021. At the property, they found over 150 rabbits crammed into 8 hutches, living outside in filthy conditions. All of the rabbits were confiscated, triaged, and given immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, a few did not make it. But the remainder are safe and GHRS took in 125 bunnies. All of the confiscated rabbits needed vet care, including spaying/neutering and medical attention, including treating wounds from fighting, abscesses, mites, coccidia, syphilis, fleas, ticks, and sore hocks. Considering just a spay/neuter can cost $150-$180 per rabbit (not including other treatments that have been necessary), vet bills quickly mount up. The shelter could use our help! December 2021 Edit: This summer, one of the rabbits from the hoarding case suddenly died and came back positive for RHDV (a highly contagious and deadly virus in rabbits). The entire shelter had to be deep cleaned and closed for over 6 weeks for quarantine. While it increases the cost of sheltering each rabbit, every new rabbit that GHRS takes into the shelter must be vaccinated for RHDV as a precaution. November 2022 Edit: Can't believe it's been over a year since starting this fund! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Although the shelter has adopted out many of the bunnies from this emergency intake, there are nine rabbits from this hoarding case still waiting to be adopted and have been at the shelter since May 2021. Please consider donating to support these and the hundreds of rabbits that GHRS helps each year. Thank you!
