Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum
Founded in 1986, the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) is the oldest and largest national health advocacy organization working with Asian American (AA), Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities across the nation, in the U.S. Territories and affiliated jurisdictions. APIAHF’s mission is to influence policy, mobilize communities, and strengthen programs and organizations to improve the health of AAs and NHPIs. APIAHF has headquarters in Oakland, CA and a policy office in Washington, DC. APIAHF has been a champion for health equity for 30 years. Across the nation and the Pacific, APIAHF serves as a bridge between influencers and communities, lifting up organizations and advancing health policy. APIAHF harnesses collective power so all people can be healthier and stronger. From the local to the national level, APIAHF equips communities and advocates to connect, mobilize, and engage with one another. APIAHF listens deeply to AA and NHPI communities, and uses our voice to advance policies that serve diverse health needs. Staff analyze regulations, inform legislation, and bring stories before the courts, all to articulate community issues directly to decision-makers and influencers.
