The mission of India HIV/AIDS Alliance Is to support community action to prevent HIV infection, to meet the challenges of AIDS, and build healthier communities. Our vision is a world in which people do not die of AIDS.
India HIV/AIDS Alliance (Alliance India) was founded in 1999 as a non-governmental organization operating partnership with civil society and communities to support sustained responses to HIV in India. Alliance India works through capacity building, technical support and advocacy to strengthen the delivery of effective, innovative, community-based interventions to key populations affected by the epidemic, with a particular emphasis on marginalized populations including men who have sex with men (MSM), transgenders, hijras, female sex workers (FSWs), people who inject drugs (PWID), vulnerable youth and women, and people living with HIV (PLHIV).
