Red de Alimentos is an NGO (non governmental organization) that created the first food bank
in Chile in 2010. We’ve been part of GFN since 2012.
Our mission is to recover food and essential items that, for several reasons, are not marketable
but are fit for human use or consumption, with the objective of distributing them to people in
vulnerable situations and, at the same time, avoiding waste, thus generating a triple impact:
social, economic and environmental.
Supported by the technology we have developed and an efficient and traceable process, we
impact hundreds of thousands of people throughout the country, through more than 500
charities and also directly through our Social Pantries.
