EmpowHER Fund

About

EmpowHER was created with one goal in mind: to empower women (and girls). Because of that, we created a fund compiled of organizations that put women at the forefront of their missions and work to fuel societal change for the better. Each organization is dedicated to energizing girls and women to embrace their unique individuality, foster strength of character, and support one another to create a new generation of empowered women through a variety of programs. Although the charities have different approaches to their work – some use legal frameworks to tackle gender inequality, others use socio-economic frameworks – their goals remain the same: to empower women by providing adequate tools, resources, and support so they can grow and positively impact their communities. Solar Energy International

Solar Energy International has been delivering virtual and hands-on solar training for entry-level and current solar employees for over 30 years. This fund will support SunPower’s current Women in Solar Scholarship, by donating additional funds to SEI to train women from underserved communities in the fundamentals of solar installation.

Women's Health and Family Planning Association of Texas

Texas has the highest rate of Americans without health insurance. Every Body Texas provides much needed sexual and reproductive healthcare to Texans who lack insurance and/or are of low-income backgrounds, including women and non-binary populations.

Bottomless Closet

Bottomless Closet in New York City provides low-income women with professional attire for work and interviews, resume help, interview prep, and workshops on topics such as financial management, professional development, and personal enrichment.

Womens Daytime Drop In Center

In the past 3 years, homelessness in Alameda County has increased by 22%, and the Women’s Daytime Drop-in Center in Berkeley, CA addresses homelessness among women in the county. WDDC offers services Monday through Friday 9 AM - 2 PM which include hot meals, groceries, hygiene products, diapers, support groups, and housing resource services.
