Pride at Shutterstock 2024 Fund

In celebration of Pride month, Prism, our LGBTQ+ ERG is raising funds to support the missions of four incredible organizations - Sylvia Rivera Law Project, The Trevor Project, The National Center for Transgender Equality & London Friend. These organizations were selected by Prism for their age inclusive care and advocacy, accessible mental health services, and for having a strong focus on trans & queer youth support needs. Remember - Shutterstock will match any employee donation on Bright Funds up to $200. Donate to this fund and your impact will be doubled!

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project's mission is to end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. We are the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: our 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text. We also run TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operate innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.

National Center for Transgender Equality

The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.

Sylvia Rivera Law Project Inc

The Sylvia Rivera Law Project works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence. SRLP is a collective organization founded on the understanding that gender self-determination is inextricably intertwined with racial, social and economic justice. Therefore, we seek to increase the political voice and visibility of low-income people and people of color who are transgender, intersex, or gender non-conforming. SRLP works to improve access to respectful and affirming social, health, and legal services for our communities. We believe that in order to create meaningful political participation and leadership, we must have access to basic means of survival and safety from violence.

London Friend provides a wide range of services and activities aimed at improving the health and well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender community. Some of our services include one-to-one and group counselling, drug and alcohol support and coming-out and other peer support groups. We also run an LGBT community centre in Kings Cross.
