Women@ Canada is supporting Up with Women -- a national Canadian charity on a mission to help recently homeless and at-risk women build a sustainable pathway out of poverty. Up With Women clients undergo a year-long intensive program of career and entrepreneurship-based one-on-one customized coaching, in-depth personality and emotional assessment tools, group-support sessions, and soft-skills development. And with the support of people like you, their proven program will help change over 1000 lives over the next three years.

AFESU - Associacao Feminina de Estudos Sociais e Universitarios

Women@ Brazil is supporting AFESU. AFESU forms women protagonists of their own lives, who will transform society from their professions. One of the first NGOs in Brazil created with the mission of qualifying and inserting women into the job market. For more than 50 years, we have offered education and professional qualification projects 100% free of charge to hundreds of children, adolescents and adults – living in highly socially vulnerable regions in SP.

Urgent Action Fund for Womens Human Rights

Women@ US is supporting Urgent Action Fund for Womens Human Rights. In 1997, activists from around the world said they needed a Fund that provides grants quickly and with very little bureaucracy in order to respond to critical human rights situations. Most funders required several months to process a grant request, but many interventions had only a small window of opportunity in which they could be effective. This was especially true in areas experiencing armed conflict or escalating violence. Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights is a feminist fund that protects, strengthens and sustains women and transgender human rights defenders at critical moments. They intervene quickly when activists are poised to make great gains or face serious threats to their lives and work. They respond to requests from women’s human rights defenders within 72 hours and have funds on the ground within 1-7 days.
