Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake Inc.

Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake is one of 1,400 Habitat for Humanity affiliates around the world – each of which operates and fundraises independently to meet the unique needs of the communities it serves. Here in Central Maryland, in addition to the need for decent, affordable housing, we strive to address the needs for job training and employment opportunities, neighborhood revitalization, tax preparation assistance and meaningful team building opportunities. Together, these programs are transforming lives and communities across the region. Please visit the individual program pages for more information on each of our initiatives and visit the How You Can Get Involved section to learn how you can help build homes, communities and hope!

Maryland Food Bank, Inc.

they supply the food to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and faith-based organizations that serve food-insecure Marylanders. They also supplement this work with outreach programs that provide direct food assistance, educate the public on the importance of good nutrition, and fight hunger through innovative means.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, Inc.

I spent many years volunteering in the their Legal and Financial Services group that provides assist to low-income families and individuals that lack access to professional services. They provide a level of assistance many clients could not otherwise afford. They truly offer inspiration as they focus to serve the poor and the vulnerable. NOTE: While Catholic Charities is the philanthropic arm of the Archdiocese of Washington, only about 1.5% of our overall funding comes from the Archdiocese, which allows the agency to operate autonomously in our mission to serve the most vulnerable in our community. In addition, as specified by law, all funding the agency receives must be used to support the designated Catholic Charities program and/or services.

The Light House Inc

Adding this nonprofit as their mission is "to rebuild lives with compassion by providing shelter and services to prevent homelessness and empower people as they transition toward employment, housing and self-sufficiency." They have been doing this for 30 years with great success. They also provide opportunities for service in the Annapolis area and have been a great inspiration to the community.

The National Alliance to End Homelessness, Inc.

The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a nonpartisan organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the United States.
