Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
This nonprofit continually inspires me because it's added years of life to my precious daughter, Mandalyn. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening, genetic disease where the body creates a thick sticky mucous that causes the body to have re-occurring life-threatening lung infections, and trouble digesting food. The life expectancy is early forties. To stay healthy, Mandalyn takes upwards of 150 pills per week, is attached to mucous clearing machines for over an hour each day, and runs or participates in sports daily. My hope is that someday CF will stand for Cure Found.
