Chicago Literacy Alliance Nfp
The Chicago Literacy Alliance is a collective of more than 100 organizations helping to meet literacy needs for people of all ages and backgrounds. Literacy doesn’t just stop at reading and understanding words on paper. Many other kinds of literacy are also important for people to live healthy, productive lives and meaningfully participate in society including mathematical, scientific, digital and civic.
Hello Baby NFP
Traumas resulting from the violence and economic insecurity that plague many Chicago neighborhoods are overwhelming and lifelong. HelloBaby's goal is to nurture happy and healthy children and families.
Ignite envisions a world where all young people have the support they need to be defined by their potential, not their circumstances. As the only Chicago agency working exclusively with youth ages 14 -26 who are unstably housed or experiencing homelessness, Ignite helps to house over 300 youth yearly and provide them with all the tools and support they need to succeed, including stable housing, access to employment and education opportunities, primary and mental health care, lasting connections with caring adults, and the skills to live a healthy and independent life.

Black women are statistically underrepresented in leading industries and disproportionately affected by more issues than one. Now is the time to empower black women to develop more leaders, protect future innovators, and provide comforting spaces to grow together. Contribute to helping black women grow! Your donation to support My Block My Hood My City in fundraising for black women-led and black girls serving organizations will impact many, especially during this time.
