We believe it is critical to address each woman’s unique emotional, physical and spiritual needs.

Arc of the Piedmont, Inc.

We were founded in 1954 when a group of parents and friends of people with mental retardation came together to support each other. We still serve some of these same families and friends, working to ensure the full range of human and civil rights for people with disabilities and to improve their quality of life. The Arc of the Piedmont serves families, infants, children and adults with a wide range of support needs due to mental retardation and other disabilities. Our vision is for people with disabilities to be fully participating members of the community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge, Inc.

To provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Piedmont Housing Alliance's mission is to create affordable housing opportunities and foster community through education, lending, and equitable development .

The Haven

Experiencing homelessness is a state of transition for most of our guests.We provide respite services for people who are currently experiencing homelessness, or living in extreme poverty in our community, as well as supportive case management for guests who are eligible for programs to help get them back into stable housing.

Sexual Assault Resource Agency

The mission of the Sexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA) is to eliminate sexual violence and its impact by providing education, advocacy, and support to all individuals. Our vision is a community free from sexual violence. We serve residents of Charlottesville, and the counies of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson in Virginia.
