Join in supporting Black@VMware’s #LivingHeritage campaign
This fund was created to raise awareness and support for Black communities across the United States.
Institutionalized and systemic racism means that Black people do not have the same opportunities as others and have longer “distance travelled” to get to the same places. We see this every day in lack of representation in universities and companies, to the senseless murders of Black people, in the streets, and in their own homes, and more recently how Black communities have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
In corporate settings, when it comes to the issues impacting Black communities, there is often no action and there continues to be silence. That silence is deafening, and it hurts. It hurts to not be acknowledged. It hurts to not receive the same level of support as your colleagues. It hurts to feel unsupported, unheard, and unseen.
This campaign is one avenue for community and allies to acknowledge trauma, show solidarity, empathy, and show that you stand with us and you hear us. #LivingHeritage
