About

The 2021 Veterans Day Fund features organizations that support the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces, and their families. These organizations provide a variety of services, including mental health and supportive services, financial assistance, and support for life after duty including job opportunities and community engagement. Veterans Day by the Numbers: 19.5 million – the approximate number of veterans in the United States 9 million – the number of veterans over the age of 65 5.06 million – the number of veterans receiving disability compensation 2 million – the number of female veterans of those receiving disability compensation 500k – the number of World War II veterans still living in the United States 1.56 million – the number of veterans in California, the highest number in the country 1.46 million – the number of veterans in Texas, the second-highest number in the country 11% – the percentage of veterans who experience homelessness 50% – the percentage of veterans experiencing homelessness who also live with a mental illness like PTSD Through a single tax-deductible donation to the 2021 Veterans Day Fund, you will support highly-rated organizations dedicated to supporting and honoring America's veterans.

We’re building a movement that empowers veterans to continue their service, and empowers communities with veteran talent, skills and preparedness to generate visible impact. At The Mission Continues, we’re on a mission to connect veterans with under-resourced communities. Our programs deploy veteran volunteers to work alongside nonprofit partners and community leaders to improve educational resources, tackle food insecurity, foster neighborhood identity, and more. Your support remains crucial as we empower veterans to find new meaning and focus in their lives through continued service—and to strengthen their communities in the process.

Semper Fi & America's Fund

Semper Fi & America’s Fund cares for our nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families. Supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, we provide one-on-one case management, connection, and lifetime support. Today. Tomorrow. Together.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Special Operations Warrior Foundation ensures full financial assistance for a post-secondary degree from an accredited two or four-year college, university, technical, or trade school; and offers family and educational counseling, including in-home tutoring, to the surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty.Special Operations Warrior Foundation also provides immediate financial assistance to severely wounded and hospitalized special operations personnel.

Hire Heroes Usa

Hire Heroes USA empowers U.S. military members, veterans, and spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce. Our team of former military and business professionals effectively trains veterans in the skills of self-marketing, then supports their career search until they find good jobs with great companies. The hallmark of our program is a personal approach where each veteran receives dedicated assistance from a highly-trained staff member in order to help the veteran overcome barriers to employment. Signature services also include group workshops and connecting the job seeker with veteran-friendly companies and employment opportunities through the Hire Heroes USA Job Board.
