TEAM is the region of KIPP schools in Newark and Camden, New Jersey. TEAM’S first school in Camden, NJ will open its doors to 104 kindergarteners in August 2014 as part of KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy. Camden has the nation’s highest per-pupil funding, through which the KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy will receive 95% of their funding. Thanks to this, teachers will have the opportunity to bring their ideas to life. This means getting kids the things they need to learn and set the foundations for success.

The building will be a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that is worthy of Camden’s kids. It will be over 100,000 square feet, with all of the amenities a school should have, from current technology to athletic fields. Each classroom will have two teachers (and sometimes more!) helping the students learn. As a result, teachers can work with small groups, provide extensive interventions, continuously assess students, and teach together with another committed and passionate teacher.

This model ensures that all students receive the support they need to excel. Supported to and through college - Students at Revolution Primary will start in the pre-K program and continue through elementary, middle, and high school. Being a part of TEAM Schools also means that students have an advisor and a KIPP Through College team to support them on their journey to and through college. With 22% of Camden’s kids in five schools, KIPP aims to triple the number of Camden students who graduate from college.
