Save the Children Italy (STC IT) was established in late 1998 as a non-profit organization and started its activities in 1999. Today, Save the Children Italy is a Non-Governmental Organization recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that operates both in developing countries and in Italy. The mission of Save the Children Italy is to protect children's rights, delivering immediate and lasting improvements to their lives worldwide, applying a child-rights-based approach. STC IT works on education, poverty and deprivation, child trafficking, migrant children and the impact of new information technologies on children's rights. The Association carries out different activities to pursue its mission, and in particular:  To undertake any operation in Italy and abroad that is deemed necessary from time to time for this purpose;  To promote the collection of contributions to the funds of the Association by means of donations, subscriptions, or through any other means;  To promote or organize awareness raising campaigns aimed at raising funds for institutional purposes;  To constitute or participate in the constitution or subsidize any association, institution or foundation of a charitable nature having the same purposes;  To negotiate, conclude and execute any type of agreement with associations, institutions, natural and legal persons, in order to pursue or contribute to the realization of its purposes;  To write, print, publish, issue and circulate any document, periodical, book, newspaper, broadcast, film, poster that can sensitise stakeholders, Institutions and the general audience to its mission and use any other means of information;  To carry out training activities for school, socio-cultural, socio-health and institutional operators directly connected and instrumental to institutional purposes, through the organization of courses, seminars and conferences and the production of informative, didactic and educational materials.
