Care
CARE provides emergency support to refugees and internally displaced peoples, and also helps them deal with the psychosocial effects of experiencing conflict and violence - particularly sexual and gender-based violence. They also provide long-term support to refugee communities, and to their host communities, so that people can regain some dignity and control over their lives.
Save the Children
Since their founding in 1919, Save the Children has worked tirelessly to provide refugees with lifesaving assistance, improve access to education and quality health care, and protect children from exploitation. Whether in camps, on the move or in host communities, their staff helps refugee children from Syria, South Sudan, Burundi and other countries marred by violence and persecution.
Hias Inc
Founded in 1881 to assist Jews fleeing pogroms in Russia and Eastern Europe, HIAS now welcomes all who are fleeing persecution. Working in 16 countries across the Americas, Caribbean, Europe and Africa, they advocate for and protect refugees, helping them build new lives and reunite with their families; and ensuring they are treated with dignity.
International Rescue Committee (IRC)
IRC responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. In more than 40 countries and over 20 U.S. cities, their teams provide clean water, shelter, health care, education and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people.
