Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte

KEEPING FAMILIES CLOSE WHEN THEY NEED IT MOST. Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte provides a safe, affordable and caring "home-away-from-home" for the families of children receiving treatment in Charlotte-area medical facilities. Families are stronger when they are together, and this is never more important than when a child is sick or injured. By offering families a haven less than one mile from our partner hospitals, we increase their ability to spend more time with their child, interact with their clinical care team and participate in critical medical decisions.

Veterans Bridge Home

JOIN OTHER VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES MOVING TO THE AREA
Veterans Bridge Home is a Charlotte-based nonprofit organization that bridges the gap between Veterans and their community. Transition can be a tricky time, and we want to help you get through it with a strong support system.

Classroom Central

Our mission is to equip students in need to effectively learn by collecting and distributing free school supplies to their teachers. Picture a child at school trying to write without a pencil, read without books or dream without the tools to put their ideas on paper. This is the reality for far too many students in our community. For thousands, basic learning tools are a luxury. In fact, more than 50% of the students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg, Iredell-Statesville, City of Kannapolis, Union, Gaston and Lancaster, SC school districts come from families that can't afford lunch, let alone school supplies.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation

Established in 2004 by local business and civic leaders, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation works to strengthen Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department services and to promote public safety in Charlotte, North Carolina. An independent, non-profit 501c3 organization, we dedicate our efforts to assuring safer neighborhoods and highly skilled and equipped police through better technology, education and programming.

With tax-deductible donations, we provide the tools and training needed for a cutting-edge police force. To protect the privacy of our citizens, we don’t use phone solicitations or telemarketers. Instead, we coordinate events that not only raise much-needed police department funds, but bring our community together.
